The following questions and clarifications relate to FSAR Section 2.3.1.3.3, Tropical Cyclones.
- The text on page 2.3-13 of the PTN COL FSAR states that there have been 53 tropical cyclones centers or storm tracks that have passed within 100 nautical miles of the Turkey Point site during this historical period. However, the following table only totals 50 tropical cyclones (all hurricanes). Please clarify in the FSAR, by either modification of the text or the table, how many tropical cyclone centers have passed within 100 nautical miles of the Turkey Point site.
- Consistent with NUREG-0800, Section 2.3.1, please provide in FSAR 2.3.1.3.3 the annual frequency of hurricanes that have occurred in the vicinity of the Turkey Point site.
