RIVER BEND STATION, UNIT 1 - WITHDRAWAL OF REQUESTED LICENSING ACTION RE: LICENSE AMENDMENT FOR MOVEMENT OF THE SPENT FUEL POOL GATES OVER SPENT FUEL (TAC NO. ME4680)
Dear Sir or Madam:
By letter dated September 9, 2010 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML102630247), Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy, the licensee),
submitted a license amendment request for the River Bend Station, Unit 1. The proposed amendment request would allow the movement of the spent fuel pool gates over stored spent fuel for maintenance purposes.
By letter dated November 3, 2010 (ADAMS Accession No. ML103200272), Entergy requested to withdraw the application from Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review. The NRC acknowledges your request to withdraw the application. NRC staff activities on the review have ceased and the associated Technical Assignment Control number has been closed.
