SUBJECT:
ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS REVIEW OF THE SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION - SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT WITH OPEN ITEMS The license renewal staff and technical branches have completed their review of the Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, (Salem), license renewal application (LRA) and have issued the Safety Evaluation Report With Open Items Related to the License Renewal of Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, Docket Nos. 50-272 and 50-311. We request that the Advisory Sub-Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) review the staffs Safety Evaluation Report With Open Items for the Salem LRA. The Salem LRA is currently scheduled for review by the ACRS Sub-Committee in December 2010. The required copies of the pertinent documents have already been delivered to the ACRS (Point of
