Underground Unit 1 AFW Piping
- Art, The past operability review for the Salem Unit 1 piping has been reviewed and I discussed this briefly with Tim O'Hara. The review of the piping that had UT testing performed on it and had data submitted for the finite element analysis is OK. The operability determination does not address most of the piping in the fuel transfer canal access area, which was not subjected to UT testing. This piping has been abandoned in place. A thorough review of past operability needs to address this piping. I will raise this issue with PSEG when I meet with their management.
