Re: Need update on the status of Ul1iv. of MD Environmental Assessment.
Hi, Tom, Thanks for the opportunity to review and comment on the DRAFT Environmental Assessment and Finding document that you prepared for the Maryland University Training Reactor [MUTR] Facility operating in College Park, Maryland under License No. R-70.
Although I have no official comments regarding the training reactor's proposed license renewal action, I have a few questions and suggestions:
- 1. A few word replacements are suggested:
-On page 3, suggest you replace "implements" with "implementing";
-On page 6, suggest you replace the phrase "Maryland Department of Environmental Protection" with "Maryland Department of Environment";
- 2. There are several references to "2000 Census" data on pages 7 and 8. Should the numbers and percentages of Minority and Low-Income Populations referenced be updated with 2010 Census data? If so, is that the licensee's responsibility?
- 3. Similarly, there is a reference on page 8, to "2006-2008 American Community Survey 3-Year estimates." Should the median household incomes and poverty threshold percentages referenced there be updated? And if so, is that the licensee's responsibility?
