Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit Nos. 1 & 2; Docket Nos. 50-220 & 50-4 10 Changes to Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Physical Security, Safeguards Contingency, and Security Training and Qualification Plan Pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(p), attached are changed pages for Issue 7, Revision 1, of the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Physical Security, Safeguards Contingency, and Security Training and Qualification Plan (the Plan). A detailed summary of changes is provided in Attachment 1, and the revised pages are provided in Attachment 2. Both attachments are classified as Safeguards Information.
The Plan is revised for the following reasons. First, the Critical Task Matrix within Appendix B of the Plan has been revised to correct an administrative error identified during a conference call with Mr. Tim Harris of the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response on June 2, 2010. Secondly, Figure 2 of the Plan has been updated to reflect a partial reconfiguration of the Vehicle Barrier System needed to support ongoing construction of the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation facility. Finally, we have taken the opportunity to make some minor clarifications within the Plan, based in large part, on the June 2 conference call. We have reviewed all changes in this Plan revision and determined that they do not decrease the effectiveness of the Plan or the overall Nuclear Security Program for Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station (NMPNS).
