ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNITS 1 AND 2 - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF THE CYBER SECURITY PLAN (TAC NO. ME2727 AND ME2728)

Dear Sir or Madam:

By letter dated November 19, 2009 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML093280919), Entergy Operations Inc. (Entergy, the licensee),

applied for an amendment to the Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 and Unit 2 (ANO-1 and ANO-2)

Renewed Facility Operating Licenses Nos. DPR-51 and NPF-6, respectively. The proposed change would have revised the existing Physical Protection license condition to require Entergy to fully implement and maintain in effect all provisions of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)-approved cyber security plan. Additionally, Entergy requested NRC approval of the ANO-1 and ANO-2 Cyber Security Plan and associated implementation schedule in accordance with Section 73.54 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR).

Subsequently, by letter dated July 9, 2010 (ADAMS Accession No. ML102240483), Entergy withdrew the amendment request.

The purpose of this letter is to advise that the application dated November 19, 2009, is being treated as withdrawn. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Register.
