TVA letter dated July 16, 2010, Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit 2 - Request for Additional Information Regarding Fire Protection Program (TAC NO. ME0853)
The purpose of this letter is to provide documents that TVA committed in the referenced letter to send to NRC in support of its review of the Fire Protection Program for WBN Unit 2.
Specifically, the following documents are enclosed:
- 1. Portions of the Fire Protection Report that Address Programmatic Aspects (e.g., fire brigades, fire watches, etc.) Which Are Not Affected by the Unit 2 Post Fire Safe Shutdown Analysis Results contains those portions of the Fire Protection Report (FPR) that are not affected by the Unit 2 Post Fire Safe Shutdown Analysis results. Revisions to enclosed portions of the report are made to update the unit specific verbiage to reflect dual unit operation. Highlighted changes reflect changes based on Revision 40 of the FPR. The plant is undergoing modifications which could change some of the information contained in this submittal. Information that has not yet been developed or is expected to change has been enclosed in [brackets] or otherwise indicated as preliminary and not ready for review.
- 2. Baseline List of Operator Manual Actions (OMAs) Added for Unit 2 contains the Baseline List of OMAs Added for Unit 2. This list contains the Unit 2 actions that are required for safe shutdown following a fire in any area containing cables and/or equipment for both safe shutdown paths. It should be noted
