Dear Mr. Franke:
This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. Dennis Herrin of your staff and Mr. Louis Lake of this office on August 5, 2010, concerning an inspection exit meeting (Category One public meeting) which has been scheduled for September 2, 2010, beginning at 10:00 a.m. (EDT).
The purpose of the meeting is for the NRC to present the results of an NRC Special Inspection that addressed the circumstances surrounding a delamination discovered in the concrete of the containment building at the Crystal River nuclear power plant last fall. The meeting notice, which provides location and additional details, is enclosed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS).
