Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit No. 2; Docket No. 50-410 2010 Owners' Activity Report for Nine Mile Point, Unit 2, Refueling Outage 12 Inservice Examinations Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a, Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, LLC is submitting the enclosed 2010 Owner's Activity Report for the Nine Mile Point Unit 2 twelfth refueling outage (RFO-12) inservice examination-s; This report summarizes the results of the examinations performed during RFO-12 for the First Inservice Inspection Period of both the Third Inservice Inspection Interval and the Second Containment Inspection Interval.
This report meets the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code Case N-532-4, "Repair/Replacement Documentation Requirements and Inservice Summary Report Preparation and Submission,Section XI, Division 1."
This code case is used as an alternative to the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI, Article IWA-6000 as approved by Regulatory Guide 1.147, "Inservice Inspection Code Case Acceptability, ASME Section XI, Division 1, Revision 15."

ABSTRACT This Owner's Activity Report summarizes the results of the Nine Mile Point Unit 2 (NMP2), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)Section XI In-service Inspection and Containment Examinations performed during the 2010 Refueling Outage (RFO-12), from April 3, 2010 through May 3, 2010.
As an alternate to the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (B&PVC),Section XI, Article IWA-6000, Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, LLC (NMPNS) has implemented ASME Code Case N-532-4, "Repair /
Replacement Activity Documentation Requirements and Inservice Summary Report Preparation and Submission,Section XI, Division 1."
OWNER'S ACTIVITY REPORTS - FORM OAR-1 The Owner's Activity Report Forms OAR-1 were prepared and certified upon completion of the 2010 refueling outage (RFO-12) examination activity for the following inspection plans:
CNG-NMP2-ISI-003, In-service Inspection Plan CNG-NMP2-CISI-002, Containment Inspection Plan In addition to the Owner's Activity Report, Forms OAR-i, the following Tables are also included:

Items with Flaws or Relevant Conditions that Require Evaluation for Continued Service - Table 1 provides a listing of item(s) with flaws or relevant conditions that required evaluation to determine acceptability for continued service, whether or not the flaw or relevant condition was discovered during a scheduled examination or test, and provides such information as Examination Category, Examination Item Number, Item Description, and Evaluation Description.
- b.
Abstract of RepairlReplacement Activities Required for Continued Service - Table 2 identifies those items containing flaws or relevant conditions that exceeded the ASME Section XI acceptance criteria (IWX-3000) or in the case of supports IWF-3000 acceptance criteria; even though the discovery of the flaw or relevant condition that necessitated the repair, replacement or corrective measure, may not have resulted from an examination or test required by Section XI, and provides such information as Code Class, Item Description, Description of Work, Date Completed and the Repair/Replacement Plan Number.
In accordance with ASME Section XI, IWB-2412 (a), with the exception of the examinations that may be deferred until the end of the inspection interval as specified in Table IWB-2500-1, and for those examinations which NMPNS has requested and received approval in the form of relief request or alternative, the required examinations in each examination category have been completed for the First Inservice Inspection Period in accordance with Table IWB-2412-1.
