RE: CR SIT NRc Questions Thanks, George. I will be glad to write up Charter Item #3. (Besides, Lou assigned me to do it to relieve your burden.) Please forward any information you have which may be beneficial in addressing the item.

Thanks, Bob From: Thomas, George. &A-1 Sent: Monday, January 25, 2010 9:52 AM To: Carrion, Robert Cc: Lake, Louis

RE: CR SIT NRc Questions

Bob, Request #35, which CR-3 has not responded to yet, was asked by me with regard to the design basis analysis. The answer to that question is of consequence as to whether they will remain compliant with the current licensing basis or not. I will need to look at that response also when it comes in.

I had mentioned this to Lou before - it will be a great help if you can writeup the SIT inspection report input for Charter Item #3 "Review structural integrity testing data of the containment. The information for this would come from the original Structural Integrity Test Report and the most recent two ILRT test reports. There is not anything out of the ordinary in the test results from these reports. In fact, one of Dan Naus's earlier trip reports has a discussion on the SIT test results. Ifyou are Ok with handling this charter item, I can forward you the test reports and Dan's report. Please let me and Lou know.

Thanks.

RE: CR SIT NRc Questions Hi George, Thanks for the "heads up" about Question #65. Did you have a chance to start anything for the other three questions? I do not want to be redundant in gathering information if you have already done so. I plan to start at "square one" if you have not had an opportunity to address them.

Thanks, Bob From: Thomas, George {'

RE: CR SIT NRc Questions

Lou, SIT Questions # 5, 17, 25, 31, 32, 65, 75 can be CLOSED. Note that #65 was re-assigned to Bob Carrion but it relates to the design basis analysis and I found the response acceptable.

Thanks.
