I'd happy to also support a panel on containment issues.
In planning an abstract, we'll want to be sensitive to NRC process with respect to Crystal River.
I'll discuss further with my management when they are back in office.

Request for Support with Regulatory Info Conference in March 2010 Hi Mark, I'd like to request your support with the upcoming 2010 RIC that will be held in March. We have suggested and was also requested to identify that one of our presentations be on the Crystal River Unit 3 containment delamination issue. We were thinking that by March, Progress Energy would have completed their root cause analysis, and that they could discuss the issue and the results of that analysis as well as their NDE analysis results and repair plan. Then you or Lou Lakes could address NRC/regional SIT assessments associated with those analysis and what the SIT focused on, with NRR support, as necessary, and then we in NRR, with your support, could address any generic implications, as necessary.
We will need to identify the panel members and an abstract probably by Dec/Jan timeframe... as far as the panel members, I'm thinking 1-2 reps from Progress Energy, 1-2 members from the region/SIT, 1-2 reps from NRR..your thoughts?
This is just a quick email regarding potential discussion items and I'm very interested in your thoughts and ideas and interest in participating. I'll try to call you before I leave for my vacation today; otherwise if ok, could we discuss next Monday if you are available? Thanks for your continued support.
