- SAN ONOFRE Emergency Class On July 12, 2010, at about 0130 PDT, Southern California Edison (SCE) discovered a live loggerhead sea turtle in the Unit 3 Intake Structure. AT 1100 PDT on July 12, 2010, SCE notified the National Marine Fisheries Service that a live loggerhead sea turtle was discovered in the SONGS Unit 3 Intake Structure. The sea turtle will be removed from the Intake Structure and will be returned to the Pacific Ocean.
The NRC Resident Inspectors have been notified of this occurrence and will be provided with a copy of this report.
