- 1. The DAEC submitted its expected RAI response: Letter NG-010-0328 dated June 15, 2010. Its ADAMS Accession Number is ML101660124.
- 2. Reviewer Purtscher notified PM Feintuch on June 16, 2010 that the response was acceptable for his needs.
- 3. This is the concluding update. No addition RAI items are anticipated.

The NRC staff makes the following observation about Table A, Limited Exam Weld List, pdf page 5/21 in your application letter NG-09-0539 dated July, 30, 2009, as a consequence of the RAI conference calls recently (June 3,2010) concluded:
In your RAI response due on June 16, 2010, consider changing the item number of CUA-J024 from R1.16 Item Number, which in EPRI terminology represents IGSCC susceptible, to R1.1O.
The change is not essential to the Safety Evaluation, but appears to be more appropriate based on the exchange of information between parties to the June 3, 2010, conference call.

All invited parties met via conference call. All agenda items were addressed. The draft "2nd " RAI items (refer to update 2010-05-24-1816 ET below) were finalized. June 16,2010, was agreed as the response date.
Subsequent to the meeting, DAEC (Byrne) provided color images of docketed photographic information to be submitted as part of the RAI response:

The "date" of the conference has been changed to a dummy date (6/4/2010 - the DAEC day off) to keep it active in Outlook for updating purposes. Attached is the RAI item list that resulted from today's call.

Meeting started at 3:00 PM.
Attending were:
DAEC - Tom Byrne (coordinating), Frank Dohmen, Andy Lee USNRC - Karl Feintuch (coordinating), Pat Purtscher Draft RAI was reviewed. RAI 8" was determined to be already on the docket and therefore its text will be replaced with "RAI 8 (deleted)."
A second call is planned later this week to further clarify "RAI 2." During the conference call DAEC Letter NG 02-0259 dated March 29, 2002, pertaining to the Risk Informed Inservice Inspection program, was referenced.

Agenda is clarification of information on the docket, or needed to be requested for the docket, pertaining to TAC ME1821 - a relief request in letter NG-09-0539 dated 30 July 2009, as supplemented by a letter dated 25 Feb 2010.
In preparation for the meeting, Pat Purtscher is to provide a draft list of items by the morning of 5/24/2010, to be compared with docketed items during the meeting, for refinement into a list of formal RAI items to be issued as a result of the meeting.
An update to this invitation will confirm mutual understanding of the needed items and a schedule for response by DAEC Participating NRC personnel are:
Karl Feintuch, PM Patrick Purtscher, Reviewer Participating personnel for Duane Arnold Energy Center are Thomas Byrne Other cognizant personnel, as attending and as invited by Thomas Byrne through his own DAEC resources.
Working documents thus far are attached for convenience. The draft list will be added when available.
