Recent Accomplishments 9 Completed 2 successful refueling outages in 2009

9 NRC Operating Licenses received for 13 candidates 9 Participating in industry pilot program for safety culture monitoring assessment 9 Received reaccreditation for Maintenance and Technical programs

Tritium Remediation 9 In 2005, an environmental monitoring program identified elevated levels of tritium in groundwater both on and off plant property 9 Aggressive remediation efforts have removed much of the tritium contaminated groundwater from the station and 4

tritium-contaminated groundwater from the station and neighboring properties

  • To date, more than 90% of the tritium in the groundwater has been cleaned up 9 We are committed to keeping the public informed

Supporting the Community 9 Exelon is a proud member of the community 9 Contributions and donations in 2009:

  • Employees donated $200,000 to the United Way
  • Fishing for a Cure raised over $20,000 for Autism Speaks 5
  • Supported Braidwood Family Care (local food bank)
  • Sponsored Braidwood Shootout (high school basketball tournament), Wilmington Catfish Days and Braidwood SummerFest Fireworks
  • Contributed $5,000 to upgrade Braidwood Police Department Radios 9 Braidwood is one of Will Countys highest taxpayers
