An Special Inspection is ongoing to address a containment concrete separation issue at Crystal River. The licensee is testing the containment to determine how much of it is affected by the concrete separation. The licensee is also conducting a root cause analysis and a design evaluation to better understand the issue.
Progress Energy will discuss their activities with the NRC during a public meeting in Rockville on November 20.
