McGuire Nuclear Station, Unit 1 Docket No. 50-369 Withdrawal - Relief Request Serial #09-MN-004 By letter dated June 29, 2009, Duke Energy submitted the subject relief request (RR) to extend the third inservice inspection visual examination interval of McGuire Unit 1 reactor vessel accessible interior attachment welds beyond the beltline region (Examination Category -B-N-2) and accessible core support structure surfaces (Examination Category B-N-3) from 10 years to 20 years to coincide with the refueling outage requested in RR 09-MN-003 for Examination Categories B-A and B-D welds.
The McGuire Unit 1 reactor core barrel was recently removed and the welds and surfaces in RR 09-MN-004 have been examined as required. Duke Energy hereby withdraws RR 09-MN-004.
