Heads up:CR3 Public Meeting Request - DC Importance: High Good morning, This is to inform you that this morning Brian McCabe, Progress Energy Nuclear Regulatory Affairs Manager, called me and requested a public meeting in Rockville with the NRC, to update the staff on the status of the licensee's root cause investigation, design basis analysis work, and potential repair options pertaining to'the Crystal River Unit 3 containment issue.
I have discussed this request with the DORL management and the RII management is also aware of it. I have arranged for this meeting on November 20, 2009 from 9:00am to 12:00pm in the Commission Hearing Room. I will update you and send a meeting invitation after I receive additional details.
