DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT NO.1 - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST RE: EXCLUDE THE SOURCE RANGE NEUTRON FLUX INSTRUMENT CHANNEL PREAMPLIFIER FROM THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANNEL CALIBRATION REQUIREMENTS (TAC NO. MD1405)
Dear Mr. Allen:
By letter dated June 2, 2009 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML092020221), as supplemented by letter dated December 22,2009 (ADAMS Accession No. ML093630340), you applied for an amendment to the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No.1 Operating License No. NPF-3. The proposed change would have excluded the source range neutron flux instrument channel preamplifier from the CHANNEL CALIBRATION requirements of Technical Specification (TS) 3.3.9, "Source Range Neutron Flux," and TS 3.9.2, "Nuclear Instrumentation." Subsequently, by letter dated February 16, 2010, you withdrew the amendment request.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above-cited application is being treated as withdrawn. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Register.
