Part 1 of 4 Weld Overlay Examination Report Associated With Relief Request RR-89-61, Revision 2, for Weld Overlay Examinations That Have Been Performed in MPS2 Refueling Outage 2R19 Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, Inc. (DNC) is forwarding herein, via electronic mail, information that is responsive to regulatory obligations of the Millstone Power Station Unit 2 (MPS2) Weld Overlay (WOL) project activities performed during the ongoing refueling outage, 2R19. This information is submitted pursuant to the 14 day post WOL inspection and preliminary Mode 4 inspection report provisions of Section 4.3.1 of the Alternative Request RR-89-61 (ADAMS Accession No. ML081060130).
The required information includes the inspection results from 2R19 for new weld overlays to nine nozzle to safe end welds, including their respective adjacent stainless steel safe end to elbow or pipe weld.
The attached pages contain the ultrasonic testing (UT) examination results for each of the nine weld overlays completed during 2R19.
