Follow Up Questions/Answers

John, Below are the some of the follow up questions that you I was tracking for answers.

1. Can the 10 inch line be pressure tested?

Answer: The 10 inch line has been replaced and no longer needs to be pressure tested.

2. Is a boroscopic examination of the 10 inch line possible?

Answer: The 10 inch line has been replaced and no longer needs to be boroscopic examined.

3. What are the total lines in the area that would contain tritium?

Answer: There are six lines in the excavated area that contain tritiated water.

4. Where does the condensate Transfer Building drain line discharge to?

Answer: The line runs to the 12" CST overflow line, which then runs into the Turbine Building and then to the Turbine Building 1-3 sump.

5. Is there a possibility that tritium could be coming from condensation from the CST vent or overflow line?

Answer: This line is hard piped to the Turbine Building and then into the sump. No water was found running from this line to the Turbine Building sump during the initial walkdowns. For tritiated water to escape to the environment it would have to be from a line break.

6. How are we going to validate that the locations determined by the.Guided Wave are the same locations that we are UT testing?

Answer: Not applicable for current conditions.

7. Are the indications being identified by the Guided Wave on the outer or inner diameter of the pipe?

I am still working on the answers to your CST questions. I will follow up tomorrow morning with those answers. You should have gotten the piping testing/repair matrix and Jhansi said that she had sent you the Adverse Condition Monitoring Plan for the sampling frequencies and locations. If you haven't gotten those please let me know.
