UPDATE: OC Tritium Issue 4/19 UPDATE As of April 19 @ 11 am Based on Guided Wave testing, OC is focusing on the 6" condensate transfer system to hotwell makeup system pipe. This portion of the piping also supports makeup to the IC by sending condensate transfer to the turbine building and then reactor building. OC also continues to pursue the CST as a possible source and are determining actions to further explore if needed.

See below for latest status of activities by department.

ENGINEERING 0 Developing a TMod to jumper around the 6" condensate transfer pipe and not interupt service flow to hotwell or Isolation Condensers (credited makeup source)

  • TMod would be complex and involve using a spool piece, hot tap (to install new valve), and a hydrostop to isolate the section of piping believed to be the source.
  • OC would then pressure test portion of piping that would be isolated to determine if the source of the leak.
  • TMod package expected to be completed on Tuesday.

OPERATIONS

  • Developing an OTDM to assess potential impact of performing work on-line and/or shutdown. Potential concern is securing condensate transfer pumps and impact on IC makeup capability and hotwell makeup/condenser vacuum.

o Expected completion Monday.

CHEMISTRY

  • Results of sample from "leaking" coduit in ESW vault shows 1.2M pCi/L.
  • Working w/ State of NJ to get permits to install 2 new wells near CST.
