OF SEPTEMBER 29, 2009, MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF STP NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY, LICENSEE FOR SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT, UNITS 1 AND 2, REGARDING LICENSEE'S RISK-INFORMED PERFORMANCE-BASED PROGRAMS On October 29, 2009 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession No. ML093020098), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued a meeting summary of the September 29, 2009, meeting with representatives of STP Nuclear Operating Company, licensee for South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2.

Due to an administrative error, pages 22 to 24 of the licensee handouts were missing from the electronic copy issued on October 29, 2009. The omission does not change the content of the meeting summary. Enclosed is a copy of pages 22 to 24; please add them to your copy of the licensee handouts.

Exemption from Special Treatment Requirements Lessons Learned

  • Dedicated individual to facilitate categorization process is very desirable.
  • Document system categorization bases and in database to enable retrieval and to produce "Risk Significance Basis Documents".
  • Specific categorization process training required for IWG and Expert Panel members
  • Develop appropriate interface with station equipment databases (MEDMaster)
  • Information and insights from the categorization process used across many station organizations and in many station processes 24
