Document Control Desk Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Unit Nos. I & 2; Docket Nos. 50-317 & 50-318 Calvert Cliffs Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Docket No. 72-8 Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit Nos. I & 2; Docket Nos. 50-220 & 50-410 R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Docket No. 50-244 Supplemental Information in Support of Orders Approving Application Regarding Proposed Corporate Restructuring As discussed during a teleconference today, Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, LLC (CENG) provides the following information in response to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Staff questions:
- 1) We confirm that our current projections of the fixed operating and maintenance costs for a six-month unplanned outage period for our nuclear stations continue to be the same as reflected in Reference (a), Proprietary Attachment (5A), pages 6, 14, and 22.
- 2)
The current $305 million in financial support provided to the licensees by Constellation Energy Group, Inc. (CEG) through Inter-Company Credit Agreements (ICAs) (Reference c) exceeds the required amount by $15 million, because CEG increased the ICA for Ginna to $80 million instead of $65 million for the interim CEG-only restructuring period. CEG did this to be responsive to NRC concerns regarding financial assurances during that interim period.
- 3)
Following the closing of the EDF Development Inc. transaction, the Master Demand Notes submitted in Attachment (3) to Reference (b) will be placed into effect, except that the Master Demand Note for Ginna will be amended to increase the minimum dollar value available to Ginna from $80 million to $85 million, equivalent to the dollar value in the Master Demand Note submitted in Attachment (1) to Reference (d).
