Dear Mr. Scarola:

This refers to the meeting conducted at our request at the NRC Region II Office on October 22, 2009, at 1:00 pm. The meeting's purpose was for Brunswick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP) to discuss issues with the Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG) and corrective actions taken and/or planned to be taken by BSEP.

The topics discussed included emergency power reliability, EDG historical performance, EDG performance indicators, EDG #4 governor and Organizational lessons and actions from recent events. Enclosed are a list of attendees and the presentation handouts.

In accordance with Section 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's Agency wide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS).
