SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT 1 ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO RELEASE THE OFF-SHORE PORTIONS OF THE CIRCULATING WATER SYSTEM FROM THE LICENSE
Dear Mr. Ridenoure:
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 165 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-13 for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1. The amendment consists of changes to the Permanently Defueled Technical Specifications (PDTSs) in response to your application dated December 19, 2007 (ML080580468). The changes delete reference to the Circulating Water System in the PDTSs.
A copy of our related Safety Evaluation Report is also enclosed. The Notice of Issuance will be included in the Commission's next biweekly Federal Register Notice.
The environmental impacts associated with this action were evaluated in conjunction with the license amendment. The Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (ML093010512) was published in the Federal Register (74 FR 62605) on November 30, 2009.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs Agency-wide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).
