Victor Dricks Phone: (817) 860-8128 October 29, 2009 E-Mail: OPA4.Resource@nrc.gov NRC TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with Southern California Edison Co. officials on Nov. 5 to discuss the results of a recently completed independent safety culture assessment and the status of performance improvements at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. SCE operates the plant, located near San Clemente, Calif.
The meeting, which will be open to public observation, will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Trestles Room of the Doubletree Guest Suites at 34402 Pacific Coast Highway, Dana Point, Calif.
The public will have an opportunity to observe and ask questions of NRC staff before the meeting is adjourned.
