TON*I E*R ISSION JU 2 9 19 LICENSE AMENDMENT for DELIVERY OF SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIAL to a CARRIER FOR TRANSPORT Pursuant to the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 and Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Chap.ter 1, Part 70, and Part 71, the following amendment to the special nuclear material license identified below is hereby issued, authorizing the licensee to deliver special nuclear material to a carrier for transport, and is subject to the conditions specified in that license and to the conditions specified below.

Containment vessel consists of a 10-inch-diameter Schedule 40 steel pipe, 56-inches long, with welded..bottom.plate, and bolted flange closure with leaktight gasket.

Containment-vessel is centered and supported in a steel angle cage., 36" x 36! x 62", covered with 16-gage sheet steel.

Container constructed in accordance with Kerr-McGee Drawings NPD-241 and NPD-I-303, and subject to the following modification:

When used for high density U02 pellets and the U-235 enrichment exceeds 3 w/o, the containment vessel shall be modified by inserting a 55-inch length of 8-inch diameter Schedule 20 steel pipe into the 10-inch diameter pipe.

REFERENCES Application dated November 16, 1966, requesting approval to deliver special nuclear material to a carrier for transport in the above container.
