SUPPORT OF NRC REGION II ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF TOUR This letter is to express our appreciation for your support of our recent administrative staff visit to Oconee. On July 29, 2009, 11 members of the NRC Region II administrative staff experienced an informative visit at your facility. In addition to touring portions of the turbine building and main control rooms, the group also observed activities in the operations training simulator. Additionally, Mr. Mike Glover, General Manager of Projects, graciously spent time with the group explaining aspects of Oconee.
Region II management has received extremely positive feedback from our staff that participated in the visit. Our administrative professionals gained an improved understanding of an operating nuclear power plant and have a better appreciation of where their daily work fits in the production of electricity and the NRCs safety mission.
