Dear Mr. Jensen:

By letter dated October 7, 2008 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML083010238), Indiana Michigan Power Company (I&M) submitted a relief request for the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Unit 1, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The proposed relief request was for NRC approval to use weld inlays as an alternative repair technique for reactor vessel safe end-to-primary nozzle alloy 82/182 dissimilar metal welds.

By letter dated August 10, 2009 (ADAMS Accession No. ML092470470), I&M subsequently withdrew the relief request. The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above-cited relief request is being treated as withdrawn. NRC activities on the review have ceased and the associated Technical Assignment Control Number (TAC No. MD9997) has been closed.
