In References (a) and (b), Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Inc. submitted code alternatives to extend the Reactor Vessel In-Service Inspection (lSI) weld examinations from once every 10 years to once every 20 years, on Units 1 and 2 separately. In support of these requests, Calvert Cliffs submitted, in Reference (c), a license amendment request for both units that would establish a licensing condition to report reactor vessel weld inspection information and analyses as specified in Reference (d).

Document Control Center July 8, 2009 Page 2 The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has now modified the requirement in Reference (d) so that a licensing condition to address the evaluation of future lSI data is no longer necessary. As a result, Calvert Cliffs withdraws our license amendment request contained in Reference (c).
