COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 - DAM SAFETY INSPECTION REPORT FOR SAFE SHUTDOWN IMPOUNDMENT DAM (TAC NO. MD8547)
Dear Mr. Flores:
Enclosed is a copy of the Dam Safety Inspection Report for Safe Shutdown Impoundment (SSI)
Dam prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The enclosure contains the results of an inspection on April 6, 2009, on the SSI Dam at Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2. The inspection included the SSI Dam-zoned earth and rock-fill dam and the equalization canal. During this inspection, no conditions were observed that would adversely affect the safety of the dam or the nuclear facility. The maintenance of the impoundment appeared to be satisfactory.
At FERC's request, the enclosure is not being made publicly available since it contains critical energy infrastructure information.
The enclosure transmitted herewith contains Security-Related information.
When separated from the enclosura, this document is decontrolled.
