OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON MAY 21, 2009, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND PPL SUSQUEHANNA, LLC, CONCERNING THE RESPONSES TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE SUSQUEHANNA STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of PPL Susquehanna, LLC (PPL), held a telephone conference call on May 21, 2009, to discuss PPLs responses to request for additional information (RAI) concerning the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2, license renewal application (LRA). By letter dated April 13, 2009, the NRC staff sent PPL an RAI on LRA Section 3.3.2.2.6. In a letter dated May 13, 2009, PPL responded to the RAI and amended the LRA to include an additional commitment, # 61. The staff has requested that PPL revise this amendment to include neutron attenuation testing.
The enclosure provides a listing of the participants.
The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.
