SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 WITHDRAWAL OF AMENDMENT REQUESTS (TAC NOS. ME0634, ME0635, ME0636, ME0637, ME0638, AND ME0639)
Dear Mr. Ridenoure:
By letter dated January 13, 2009, Southern California Edison Company (SCE) applied for amendments to Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-10 and NPF-15 for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), Units 2 and 3, respectively. The proposed changes would have modified the operating licenses to reflect changes to the SONGS Physical Security Plan to support the upcoming steam generator replacement projects at both units.
SUbsequently, by letter dated April 16, 2009, SCE withdrew the amendment request.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above-cited application is being treated as withdrawn. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Register.
