Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Notice of Intent to Pursue License Renewal (ML063630037)

In Reference 1, the NRC describes the importance of providing advance notice of the intent to pursue license renewal. In Reference 2, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) informed the NRC of its planned dates for submittal of license renewal applications to the NRC. The purpose of this letter is to inform the NRC of changes to the previously provided schedule for submittal of license renewal applications.

In Reference 2, the EGC plant identified for License Renewal Application submittal in September 2011 will be the Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2. EGC plans to submit additional license renewal applications as follows:

One application in July 2013 One application in July 2015 One Application in April 2017 These dates supersede the schedule information provided in Reference 2. EGC is not prepared at this time to announce the specific plants for these license renewal applications, and therefore requests that the NRC identify each of these plants as an "Unnamed Exelon Plant."
