RE: Pre-Outage Comm Plan - FW: EDO Daily Notes - Region I Input for 10/15/08 When you say the "Comm Plan for the startup"... I assume you mean the Comm Plan for the Quick Look Letter. I talked with Diane Screnci yesterday, at length.
Diane [a primary end user] would like the Quick Look Letter Comm Plan to be no more than 1-Page. She recommends about 1/2 page of Key Message bullets, and 'a table for the sequence of notifications. The comm plan that Diane and I envision will not have details of our inspection scope, or details of AmerGen's outage work scope.
I'll try to get 5 minutes with Darrell this afternoon.

we should still be producing the comm plan now for the startup.
perhaps the draft will scratch people's itches on major activities to be conducted during the outage and besides licensee renewal.
Having a final draft leaves open the possibility of an 11 th hours let's do a comm plan.

Diane dild NOT want a Comm Plan, just a simple bullet list.

PREOUTAGE COMM PLAN - FW: EDO Daily Notes - Region I Input for 10/15/08 Importance: High I think I found the source of the pre-outage comm plan - Diane Screnci. I talked to her this morning and it is obvious that she is pushing Sam in this direction.
Also, Ron what are we doing on daily note or weekly highlight for this outage that is going to receive so much attention. Maybe that is the only action needed in the pre outage comm plan.
Diane was also interested in major activities - maybe we can get from RIs at the site.
I and my staff don't have a problem developing the pre-outage comm plan if it helps out PAO, but the only action would be to ensure NJ is informed, which we already have done, and maybe issue a dalily or weekly highlight, Diana agreed to no action but is interested in the Q & As which she is expecting to get before and during the outage.
