- Dan, The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has assessed the submittal by Florid Power Corporation, dated February 26, 2009, for Crystal River Unit 3 - Licensee Amendment Request
- 307, Revision 0, "Methodology for Rod Ejection Accident Analysis under Extended Power Uprate Conditions." The NRC staff performed a cursory review to determine its technical contents and sufficiency. The staff finds the submittal is adequately detailed and includes sufficient discussion on methods validation to warrant a review. The NRC staff has determined that the submittal is acceptable for detailed technical review under LIC-109. If additional information is needed for the NRC staff to complete its technical review, you will be advised by separate correspondence.

- Farideh, The SNPB branch staff has assessed the submittal by Crystal River -3 Rod Ejection Accident Methodology Report (ANP-2788P), dated XXX?, in support of an application by Florida Power Corporation (FPC) for License Amendment Request (LAR) in connection with an Extended Power Up-rate (EPU). The SNPB staff performed (with the help of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) a cursory review to the determine its technical contents and sufficiency. The staff finds the submittal is adequately detailed and includes sufficient discussion on methods validation to warrant a review.
