(Calvert Cliffs) requested approval for relief requests from the requirements of American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code,Section XI in conjunction with the submittal of Calvert Cliffs Fourth Ten-Year Interval Inservice Inspection Program Plan.

During the acceptance review of this relief request, the NRC staff determined that the initial submittal required modification to allow continued NRC staff review (Reference b). Attachment (1) provides the modification to our initial submittal.

RESPONSE TO NRC ACCEPTANCE REVIEW CONCERN NRC Concern

1. The first sentence of the last paragraph on page 7 of Enclosure I to Attachment 5 of Reference I reads as follows:

"A gap analysis for the CCNPP PRA internal events model is currently being performed by a group of vendors."

The NRC staff requests that the licensee clarify that the above analysis has been performed and that the information contained in the application is complete and reflective of this analysis.

CCNPP Response The first sentence of the last paragraph on page 7 of Enclosure 1 to Attachment 5 of Reference I is changed to read:

"A gap analysis for the CCNPP PRA internal events model was performed by a group of vendors in December of 2008. The significant gaps related to the model used in this analysis are listed in the attachment at the end of this enclosure."

With this change, the information contained in Reference I (as supplemented here) is complete and reflective of this analysis.
