Acceptance Review of Alternative to 10 CFR 50.55a Exam Requirements for RPV Weld Inspections This e-mail is to inform Exelon that the NRC has formally accepted the Clinton Power Station relief request titled "Proposed Alternative to 10 CFR 50.55a Examination Requirements for Reactor Pressure Vessel Weld Inspections, dated December 03, 2008, acceptable for review (ADAMS Accession No. ML083380762 - TAC # ME0218). The NRC reviewers have found the submittal acceptable for review under the LIC-109 process. However, this acceptance does not necessarily mean the NRC staff will not need additional information, once we get involved with the review.
