SURRY POWER STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 CORRECTION LETTER FOR LICENSE AMENDMENT NOS. 262 AND 262, REGARDING REVISION OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 5.0, "DESIGN FEATURES" (TAC NOS. MD8426 AND MD8427)
Dear Mr. Christian:
By letter dated December 10, 2008, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff issued Amendment No. 262 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-32 and Amendment No. 262 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-37 for Surry Power Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. The amendments change the Technical Specifications (TSs) in response to your application dated April 2, 2008.
Subsequently, Mr. Gary Miller of your staff informed the NRC staff of an administrative error on page iii of the TSs. The title of Section 4.18 states DELETED and does not have a page number.
However, with the implementation of previously approved Amendment No. 260 for each license, the title should state MAIN CONTROL ROOM/EMERGENCY SWITCHGEAR ROOM (MCR/ESGR) EMERGENCY VENTILATION SYSTEM (EVS) TESTING and TS 4.18-1 as the associated page number. Please replace the current TS page iii with the corrected page enclosed.
The correction does not change the approval conveyed by the amendments, or the conclusion reached by the associated safety evaluation. We regret any inconvenience this error may have caused you.
