OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON NOVEMBER 13, 2008, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND PPL SUSQUEHANNA, LLC., CONCERNING THE RESPONSES TO REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE SUSQUEHANNA STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of PPL Susquehanna, LLC (PPL), held a telephone conference call on November 13, 2008, to discuss PPLs responses to the requests for additional information (RAIs), concerning the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2, license renewal application (LRA). By letter dated July 3, 2008, the NRC staff sent PPL RAIs on the metal fatigue time-limited aging analysis. In a letter dated August 1, 2008, PPL responded to RAI 4.3-4 by reference to Boiling Water Reactor Vessel and Internals Program (BWRVIP)-183. The BWRVIP-183 titled Inspection Guidelines and Flaw Evaluation of Top Guide Grid Beams, has not been reviewed by the staff for approval. The staff asked PPL to amend its response to remove reference to BWRVIP-183.
