DPR-42 and DPR-60 Submittal of Archaeological Documents Requested Durinq NRC License Renewal Environmental Audit During the period August 18-22, 2008, the NRC conducted a License Renewal Environmental audit at the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant site. During this audit it was requested that certain documents be submitted to facilitate the NRC staffs archaeological review and preparation of a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement. Enclosure 1 provides the index of archaeological documents requested by, the NRC staff. The documents are provided in Enclosure 2. indicates that certain of the documents have a disclosure status identified as Public. These documents may be publicly disclosed. However, certain of the documents are identified as confidential because of their sensitive nature. Accordingly, Northern States Power - Minnesota (NSPM) requests that those documents identified as confidential be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390.

The identified documents were prepared or obtained in confidence, and are not to be publicly disclosed under Minnesota Statute 307.08 Sub. 11. Because the enclosed information is being submitted under penalty of perjury, NSPM also requests a waiver in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(b)(1)(ii) of the requirement for a separate affidavit to accompany the request for withholding.
