SUBJECT:
ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS REVIEW OF THE VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION - DRAFT SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT The license renewal staff and technical branches have completed their review of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP), Units 1 and 2, license renewal application (LRA) and have issued a draft Safety Evaluation Report Related to the License Renewal of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2. We request that the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) review the draft safety evaluation report for the VEGP LRA. The VEGP LRA is currently scheduled for review by the ACRS Full Committee in April 2009. Required copies of pertinent documents have already been delivered to the ACRS (point of contact:
Christopher Brown, 301-415-7111).
