Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(3)(i), the STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) requested approval to apply structural weld overlays to the South Texas Project (STP) Unit 1 and Unit 2 pressurizer spray, relief, safety, and surge nozzle safe-ends as an alternative to ASME code requirements. Reference 1 describes commitments to be applied at STP Units 1 and 2 that were further addressed by the confirmatory action letter listed as reference 2. The pressurizer nozzle weld overlays are in place in Unit 1 and in Unit 2, and applicable commitment actions have been completed. STPNOC has no further actions remaining for compliance with the confirmatory action letter.
