SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - CORRECTION TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION PAGES RE: BATTERY SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS AMENDMENTS (TAC NOS. MD7366 AND MD7367)
Dear Mr. Sheppard:
By letter dated June 30, 2008, the Commission issued Amendment No. 184 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-76 and Amendment No. 171 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-80 for the South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2, respectively.
The amendments consisted of modifications of Technical Specifications (TS) Surveillance Requirements related to battery testing, by revising TS 3/4.8.2.1, DC Sources-Operating, TS 3/4.8.2.2, DC Sources-Operating, and TS 3/4.8.2.3, Battery Parameters. The changes allow battery testing activities during any MODE of operation.
The NRC staff inadvertently issued incorrect page 3/4 8-13 instead of 3/4 8-13a to both amendments, and specified page 3/4 8-13, instead of page 3/4 8-13a in the attachment to the license amendments showing the pages to be removed and inserted.
Enclosed is a corrected page for the attachment to License Amendment No. 184 and License Amendment 171, that shows page 3/4 8-13a being removed and inserted, instead of page 3/4 8-13. Also enclosed is the replacement TS page 3/4 8-13a. Please replace the enclosed pages as indicated in the attachment. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this error.
