JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT NOS. 1 & 2, WITHDRAWAL OF RELIEF REQUEST FOR TEMPORARY NON-CODE REPAIR OF SERVICE WATER PIPING (TAC NOS. MD6746 AND MD6747)
Dear Mr. Johnson By letter dated May 11, 2006, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Agencywide Document Access System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML061310494, and September 10, 2007 (Accession No. ML072540429), Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. submitted requests to allow temporary non-code repairs of through wall pinhole leaks in service water piping downstream of Unit 1, Q1P16V510 and Unit 2, Q2P16V510 respectively.
The requests were subsequently withdrawn in letters dated December 21, 2007 (ADAMS Accession No. ML073550639) and January 11, 2008 (ADAMS Accession No. ML080140218) where it was identified that the leaks were repaired during Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant Outages 1R21 and 2R18.
This letter acknowledges the withdrawal and concludes the work performed on the requests.
