Enclosed is a copy of a ANotice Of Consideration Of Issuance Of Amendment To Facility Operating License, Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination And Opportunity For A Hearing@ and the notice has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
The Notice pertains to an amendment dated February 19, 2008, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML080730143) to the Duane Arnold Energy Center, Facility Operating License No. DPR-49. The proposed amendment revises the Technical Specification (TS) Actions for the Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG) to remove the conditional surveillance requirement to test the alternate EDG whenever one EDG is taken out of service for pre-planned preventive maintenance and testing.
