OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR GENERA TING STATION 3-D ANAL YSIS

Dear Chairman Klein:

Our Legislative Delegation was disturbed to learn that results from the 3-D analysis of a corroded pl4antradiation barrier at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station will not be made available to the public.

Recent media reports on the issue have caused concerned residents to contact our Office and inquire as to the "reasons behind.-this ill'-advised decision.

The Oyster Creek facility is a significant presence in the local community and is the frequent subject of public discussion. Therefore, any and all information pertaining to the safety of the plant's operations should be made fully known and available to the public. Our Delegation wishes to go on record as opposing the NRC's decision to deliberately conceal this critical information. Accordingly, we respectfully request the NRC reconsider its decision and make accessible all information pertaining to analysis, beyond just the limited summary which is to be made public.

Thank you, in advance, for your priority attention to this matter. We look forward to your response.
