Dear Mr. Madison:

This letter confirms the conversation between Ms. Kathy Underwood, of your staff, and Mr.

James Hickey, of this office, concerning a Category 1 meeting which has been scheduled for April 9, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRC Reactor Oversight Process Annual Assessment of your Hatch Nuclear Plant.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
