COMMENTS ON SAFETY EVALUATION FOR LICENSE AMENDMENT 130, NEW METHODS AND ASSUMPTIONS FOR RADIOLOGICAL CONSEQUENCES CALCULATIONS, AND ON SAFETY EVALUATION FOR LICENSE AMENDMENT 136, CONTROL ROOM HABITABILITY (TAC NOS.

MD7905 AND MD7906)

Dear Mr. Blevins:

By letter dated December 13, 2007, Luminant Generating Company, LLC (the licensee) submitted comments on the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) safety evaluations for license amendments issued to Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station (CPSES), Units 1 and 2, by letters dated February 20, 2007 (Agencywide Document Management System (ADAMS)

Accession No. ML070310472), and March 26, 2007 (ADAMS Accession No. ML070730033).

The NRC staff has reviewed the licensees comments. Some comments listed typographical errors that do not have any impact on safety evaluations and do not change the staffs findings.

The remaining comments listed numerical discrepancies for radiological dose consequence analyses inputs. These discrepancies only applied to the safety evaluation for CPSES, Units 1 and 2, issued by letter dated February 20, 2007. The NRC staff has completed its review of the licensee comments and their impact on the safety evaluations and has concluded that the information the licensee provided in its December 13, 2007, letter does not change the safety determination documented in the safety evaluation.

Sincerely,

/RA by Carl F. Lyon for/
